- A commitment of 5–10 hours per week
- Willingness to learn and navigate various government programs
- Ability to work compassionately with individuals in need
- Basic computer literacy
- Attendance at orientation and training before starting
A small stipend may be available for those who successfully complete their service.
If this opportunity speaks to you, please email fiasgpcarol@gmail.com with your contact information and a brief statement of interest.

Volunteer Opportunities with Faith in Action
We’re looking for volunteers to help out in the community. Here are some ways you can get involved:
1. Volunteer Navigator
Work directly with low-income and homeless folks to connect them with resources they need. You’ll shadow experienced navigators first, then take on your own clients when you’re ready. We meet Monday mornings for training and coordination. There’s potential for a small stipend once you’re trained.
2. Help with Fundraising
If you’re comfortable promoting things online or in your circles, we could use help getting the word out about:
- Our GoFundMe (search “Banning Navigation Center”)
- The Etsy shop where we sell thrift items (FIA Thriftique)
- Monthly donor program
- Our shopping event at Cabazon Outlets
3. Community Events
We run garage sales, church events twice a month, and a few bigger fundraisers throughout the year. Always need extra hands for setup, running tables, or cleanup. Or if you have ideas for your own fundraiser, let’s talk.
4. Board Members
We need a few new board members—people with ties to the community who want to be involved in decision-making. It’s a 2-4 year commitment with monthly meetings. Definitely a bigger time investment, but good if you want to help shape the direction of the organization.
5. Marketing Help
Pretty straightforward—post about events on social media, drop off flyers around town, send info to local papers. Helps us reach more people.
6. Work at The Chateau 225
Our thrift store needs volunteers for cashier duties, organizing donations, setting up displays—regular retail stuff.
7. Social Media
If you’re already online a lot anyway, help us post updates about sales and events.
