About the Chamber

Built on neighbors. Powered by purpose.

For 78 years, we've been the place where Banning's businesses come together to grow, advocate, and celebrate.

Our story

From a stagecoach stop to a thriving Pass economy.

The Banning Chamber of Commerce was founded in 1947 by a handful of Main Street merchants who wanted a stronger voice for local business. Seventy-eight years later, the mission hasn't changed — only the size of the network.

Today, we represent 240+ businesses across Banning, Cabazon, and Cherry Valley. We host signature events, advocate at City Hall, and run programs that help new businesses open and existing ones grow. We're a 501(c)(6) nonprofit, governed by a member-elected board of directors.

We're not just a directory. We're a 78-year-long conversation between the people who make this place work.
